If, while in the process of performing service on your computer, we deem it necessary to replace parts or reformat a hard drive, we will first call you with an estimate of the cost and seek approval to proceed prior to completing the repairs. This will prevent unwanted repairs and assures the customers that they are receiving quality service at a fair price with NO SUPRISES.

Because the Computer Fix is not responsible for lost data or program files during repair procedures, please back-up all important data or program files before service. If you are unable to back-up your important data before bringing in your computer for repair, be sure to let us know if you would like the data recovered from your hard drive before repairs are performed.
Here are some of the common files that our customers have asked us to back-up for them: Personal Files, Text, Pictures, Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Email Messages, Address Books, Quicken, QuickBooks, ACT, Internet Explorer Favorites, Netscape Bookmarks, HTML Files, etc... We will NOT save any Program Files (like Microsoft Office, AOL, etc...), most Programs will NOT work if you DO NOT install the System Files (*.vxd) or if you copy from one Computer to another computer, due to missing System Files.
